Carbon Credits: Hemp Growing

Each season as our farm members harvest the hemp crops, we convert the data collected from the grow process utilizing the EM digital platform to harvest the carbon credits that will be stored and can be later sold on the voluntary market.

Carbon credits currently hold a value, and we anticipate them to continue to rise in value. Because carbon credits are not a tangible product the value comes from the data collection process to determine the quantity sequestered.

Our platform algorithm calculates the total amount sequestered by individual farmers and current market value. We can then trade the carbon credits, supplying the farm of origin with the funds from the sale of the credits to customers looking to off-set their emissions. Click here for more on Carbon Credits

Earn Even More Through Soil Health Management

Adopting Soil Health Management Systems (SHMS) improve soil quality, boosting agricultural productivity while reducing atmospheric CO2 concentrations.

SHMS practices involved growing Hemp, reducing tillage, and manure/compost for fertilization. Tillage vaporizes carbon, so the less tillage the better. Manure and compost are both full of carbon.

No-till farming, an especially promising method which leaves the soil intact and crop residues in the field, sequesters an average of 0.3 metric tons of carbon per acre per year.

Our IoT system tracks the sequestered carbon in your soil, adding another revenue stream while improving the health and productivity of your farm.

We show you how to take advantage of growing and selling Hemp, along with quantifying your crop by sequestering carbon in the soil and getting paid all while improving your yield.
